I have never been a big fan of New Year’s resolutions. I never know what are “good” resolutions to make or how to keep them. Lose weight or exercise more are some of the most common ones, but I always struggle to motivate myself (especially right off the bat in January).
So this year I thought of a few things I want to do in 2014. It’s a short list (so far) but something I want to keep adding to. Like a bucket list for 2014. If I don’t check everything off, oh well. But the list gives me things to strive for, and I won’t have to beat myself up if I don’t accomplish it. Here is my list so far in no particular order (if you have any cool ideas, let me know!)…
1. Run a 5 mile race
2. Be spontaneous
3. Reach 100 blog followers
4. Hold a conversation in another language (even if it is a simple one!)
5. Pay off government debt
6. Graduate!
These still are New Year’s resolutions in a sense, but they seem much more attainable to me than the kind I have made before.
Happy New Years!
